You won't be able to go through that site to log in. They only show the way the page looked at the time of the snapshot. Things the site links to on the back end may not exist anymore.
If you want to use v2 you'll have to use the link in the menu here.

I logged onto v2 yesterday too, with no issues. There is an Old Chess.com menu item on v3.
