sorry i double posted my computer is slow

Lokaz

I've seen young children slam the pieces onto the board, generally causing the rest of the set to rattle. This is done especially when they are employing a tactic such as a fork or a Kingpin.

On the other hand, my faults when it comes to this is when I capture a piece, I generally like the hear the clicking sound when the two pieces black together. Unfortuanately, it can sometimes be a bit too loud.

clms_chess

jetfighter.. no problem

Lokaz... thanks for being honost..lol

That is a very strange position. The OP though is about how chess players physicaly moves their pieces from one square to the other in OTB chess. Give the article a read if you havent already..:).

Morph27

I have a friend who when makes a strong move with pawn pushes it slowly 2-3 times - unwillingly - until it comes to the center of the square and as i see this i know i will have difficulties.

clms_chess

lol...  ahhh yes. What you have there... is a "partial suggester" since the piece ....eventually.... finds the center of the square.....still, a very diabolical technique.

Morph27

Yes , sometimes the move may be not so strong, but the suggestion works !

Lokaz

I imagine it can be irritating if your opponent moved his pieces like this:

My 5 year old nephew likes to play chess that way, even though he knows the rules.

LOL... yea... that would be annoying. how did you do that on the computer?

The OP actually talks about the peculiar ways we physically move chess pieces with part one being about "The Suggestion". Give it a read if you havent already.

Personally I always hate players slamming the pieces onto the board. Presumably they have great confidence in their moves. I always delight in beating such players. ( Not that I am always successful in doing so.)

Yea... "slammers" will have their due in a future article in Chess Humor 101.

It's ironic that the title is "Chess Humor 101" but you don't seem to have any...
