Very funny. Absolutely not.
It is an age old debate and I will start by reiterating a quote...
"It's about progress, not perfection" We are and have been at a fun place since the epic battle between Deep Blue and Kasparov. We have seen insurmountable improvements with computing but it's essentially the same space we are operating within: powerful computers can beat humans and vice versa. Luckily (for the moment) we (humans) can pull the plug anytime we want.
By the definition of a solved game chess has not been solved and perhaps never will be due to a little thing called options. What is the "best" first move for white? According to Fischer...1. E4. Fischer was pretty good but we can still debate this point. I believe the best we can do is solve the game for each opening SINGLE move. The MCO at last printing is nearly 800 pgs for a reason. It's a complicated game.
