Chess Originated in China!

This is correct, but like I explained it was invented by 3rd generation Japanese immigrants
Technically it is a Japo-American game.

All cooking terminologies are in French ??
That is like saying because of ‘en passant ‘ and the other French one about fondling your pieces without moving them all chess terminology is French therefor chess is a French game.
Do you seriously believe the people of Tanzania, Nepal and Rwanda speak of sauté and fillet?

All this discussion leads us to the following question:
Does anyone know where the French omelette originates from?
We don't where things come from, but we do know where things are developed to a state of almost perfection. All cooking terminologies are in French: cuisine, fillet, marinate, sauté.
All ballet terminologies are in French in every country of the world.
You are right in what you say. But the answer regarding the French omelette is wrong.
─Useful information─ The french omelette is spanish, and the spanish flu wasn't originated in spain https://www.history.com/news/why-was-it-called-the-spanish-flu ─Useful information ends─

What rubbish long-quack.
’Terminology’ comes from Greek while ‘ dictionary ‘ comes from Latin.
It is pointless debating with you when you are clearly ignorant, not to mention your white European colonialist tendencies in trying to force French words down everybody’s throats.
Get your act together.

The Chinese communist party has poisoned your mind, comrade.
"communist" is not the word you are looking for

I believe chess originated in Northern India. The nation states did not exist as they do today though, and of course the ethnic composition of the areas most closely related today to these vague areas, is going to be different from what it was then. Someone in Southern India would therefore be just as related to chess' originators as someone in Northern Mongolia.
Chess has evolved in many formats. Both in travelling through Persia to Spain to Europe generally, as well as travelling to China and Japan.
I understand while elephants were used for a while in China as battlefield weapons, they weren't particularly successful. An elephant of course - a "bishop" - is about as iconic of India as you can get. What's more the unique Chinese chess "cannon" even if regarded as a "catapult", post dates weaponry of an earlier age, suggesting Chinese chess' later adoption and adaption.
And for what it's worth, I play Chinese chess on goldtoken.com

It is uncertain sometimes, because history has gaps. I think it came from India, in the first form, and then other countries made their form of the game.
I think you mean Chinise chess?

I thought it originated from India. Being an Indian myself I support what I stated. But I guess you living in China (your flag says your from China, sorry If I'm wrong about where you came from) you support that Chess came from China.

We have both the Chinese and Indians in Singapore. So it's settled. Chess originated in Singapore. The Malays must be feeling left out now...

I thought we already established that English came from Latin, therefore Chess originated in Latvia.
But that's where latte comes from. Chess doesn't go with latte.
What we call chess originated in Spain. First ancestor, probably in India.
