The Pawns were not in this game, and the bishops were the same as the queen but the queen could jump over 1 piece at a time

Did you know that back in the 1400's there was a game where no board was used, just the chess pieces.
The game which was very popular back then, was called......Make or Break.
There is a similar game now called.....Rocks Paper Scissors.
Make or Break you would use chess pieces instead of your hands and a vast variety of pieces to use. Every piece came with its own individual powers. Hard to believe that out of all the people I have asked about it, nobody has heard of it. I have even tried looking it up on search engines. There are 2 pieces that escape me when it comes to knowing there powers. The pawn (lots of them) and The Bishop.
The winner got to either break one of their opponents pieces or have their opponent make them a piece. Both were the same as in, which ever piece that the game was won on. These games were known to sometimes last up to several hours and required the same, if not even more skill than the board version.
If anyone would care to share their knowledge with me, it certainly would be appreciated.
Thanx : )
