Chessboxing

what is that? do people dress up in chess pieces and then attack each other lol

It's been around awhile just type CHESSBOXING (caps not required) into a search engine and  you'll probably find out more about this "great" new sport than you really wanted to know. I'm pretty sure one or more of my links will have articles on it, use the site's own search box to find them.

I have heard it is pretty simple...you play chess for 3 min, then you box your opponent for 3 minutes, then back to chess, etc.  The first person to score a checkmate or a knockout wins.

I once was attacked by a kick boxer and two other men but prevailed against them. Of course that was some years ago.

The idea of boxing and also stopping to play chess is ok with me. A different way to enjoy both activities.

The two men [usually men] box for a round and then sit down and start a chess game. Then they box another round and then continue the chess game. [the way I understand it]

for some resson i think it sounds kind of cool and funny

Sadly this sport has not had any success because it is very hard to move the chess pices while wearing boxing gloves.
Most often the match end quickly when one of the chessboxers knock over their ovn king by mistake.
