This piece cant move but instead it can use folowing "move".
It can make 2 copies of itself on 2 squares that can be reached by knight(can eat opponent's pieces this way).
After it made copies of itself(copies can do everything it can do) it becomes normal knight(but can still be destroyed by rule below).
If any copy is destroyed, the piece that copy was made from is destroyed along with all the copies it made.
However original piece canot be destroyed by this rule.

Welll here is an idea.
each piece can get a shield attachment. Every time it’s your turn you can do you turn like normal and you can also rotate the shield. You cannot take the piece of you are attacking from the shielded side.

how about a shield that can move like a king and no other pieces are allowed to land in squares it can move to, but can be captured. It can only be promoted, it doesn't appear in the starting position
