It did it to me to! 43.4 in blacks favor
I think it's because the initial position is impossible to obtain in a game, so the evaluation's assumptions are violated, making the answer nonsensical. There is no move that White can make to get mate/checkmate, because it is already there.

In the position editor, I accidentally deleted the white king, but the evaluation bar said only 46.8 in black's favour with white still in with a chance of winning.
