white 1650
Guess the rating

White, 2238.
Ding Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner!
White is a FideMaster rated 2286. Black is a player rated 1794. So there is in fact a rating upset. But that was not the question.
Bragging rights, eternal glory and offcourese the Chess.com Tropy are yours!
ahh as I was reading the guesses on my way I was going to guess white 2200. because I notice most people guessed everywhere except the 2100-2300 area... and I figured white losing would cause for everyone to lean for black.
Would like to see more of these it is interesting

Its hard to imagine that white can possibly be over 1600 for missing the very typical and well know 'noah's ark' tactic. However most of his play was both too sound and too interesting for him to be really bad. Black's strength is harder to tell because mostly he simply played obious moves, however 14. rb8 and 11 Nf4 strike me as 1300ish illogical moves. So im going to guess white @ 1500 and also white @ age under 13.
Since I (1794 then) played this game as black myself I can respond:
White's age
White's age is just under 40 I guess.
11...Nf4
- Nf4 is played to reposition the knight at g6.
Afterwards I still don't think that 11.Nf4 is rubbish.
Although repositioning to d6 seems better, that still can be accomplished through 11.Nf4.
14...Rb8
Black wants to play 14...Bb7, but then 15.Bd5 follows and to unpin the knight,
black must play 15...Rb8. Playing Rb8 first does reveal my idea less.
Actual Rb8 is one off the good moves in the game.
Don't forget these are blitz time controls.
