First and foremost, like they said, play a lot.

I find that chess tactics puzzles help me quite a lot. A site that I like is http://chess.emrald.net/. It may just be because of my specific weaknesses (forseeing opportunities and problems in advance), but you may benefit from checking it out.

Good luck.

Chesstempo Is also a good site for tactics. Also, try to stay away from blitz and bullet, analyze at least one loss daily(you don't necessarily need game review, just you and an evaluation bar to try and improve your in-game decisions) and don't learn openings unless you absolutely need it(like if your opponent does something and you don't know what you do)

Just . Think more and play slowly. Don't hurry anygame.
