How did u get introduced to chess at first

for me i was taught by my dad who just accidentally bought a chessboard in a shop and he had to learn it by himself cuz he wasn't willing to waste the money he paid😆...but after finishing learning it he couldn't find an opponent to play so he then taught me to play wi him and i was like "jesus! it's so addictive "and i found this website where can play chess with global ppl damn it's perfect so i stay here now 

guys could u share ur stories bout how u got into chess ?

I play chess with my mother.

I don't remember tbh but it was online. Back then all my games ended up in stalemate since I thought I had to capture my opponent's pieces. Such good times.
