I wrote a song about chess

A small introduction.

In my childhood I wanted to be a musician, but I was not allowed to visit a music school. Then I wanted to be a chess player but despite the obvious successes (winning a local championship a few times in a row) nobody supported me. They literally didn't care. My case is not unique and not the worst possible. Years later I don't know who I am and I'm not sure what I really want. I've had only two passions in my life: chess and music. Sometimes I play rapid games, sometimes I rhyme.

Back to the topic. I took the motive from a famous song The Cranberries -  Zombie and altered the lyrics. So my poem has the same rhythm as this song. Since it's only a text, I don't think there are any copyright issues. It's more like a creative cover. You may turn on the music and sing it like karaoke.

I dedicate this song to the players who don't respects their opponents and use all kind of tricks. Guys, you are amazing. I've played so many games against you. You should be captured in eternity. I hope I managed to create a proper monument for you although I realize it's not that great.
