If you could rename the chess pieces...

...what would you rename them?

Pawn = princess because pawns usually promote to queens anyway and it sounds cooler. But a pawn isn't a piece so that doesn't count

knight would be a horse, rook would be a castle, queen would be a witch, king would be an emperor

I would name them all Shecky!  That's right, every last one of them--even the pawns!

Knight would be paladin, bishop a sage or troubadour/Valkyrie, rook would be general, queen be queen and king be king.
