Illegal Position Contest!

Welcome to the one and only: James1011James1011's Illegal Position Contest, where you can win trophies for posting the best illegal position contest! Here are the rules:

1. Once per week, you can post ONE illegal position onto this forum.

2. Copy and you will be disqualified for the rest of the month. That stuff pisses me off.

3. There will be three judges for each contest. The judges will judge the positions every Saturday and decide the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

4. The judges shall not participate in the contests they are judging.

Now, with that out of the way, who else wants to judge?

The following position is illegal because there is no legal last white move (black to move)!

Robert_New_Alekhine

I would like to be a judge.

So, aggressivetiger, Lebellman, and kunfuelephant105 will be judges. Robert_New_Alekhine and I will be back-up judges, in case no one is around.

If the board is facing the normal way with White on the bottom, then it's not illegal as I see it.  White's last move was axb7. Black's next move in mate.

Oh, and this position IS legal, and here's a possible combination:

Totally not illegal. Said position COULD occur.

From black's POV

I'm not sure many understand the premise.

This looks like the thread giving the challenge to find a legal way to make a random position...

James1011James1011

To clarify, an illegal position is a position that could never possibly occur.

This is a common trick puzzle, because it appears in a semi-famous book, but is it possible for this position to be reached with white to move?
