there is none
Illegal Position Contest!

No for White on top, because you could be Black in the position. Also no for White on bottom, because you are White in the position!
That's not clear. I can't tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me that the position is illegal in classical chess. If you're claiming it's legal, you need to provide a proof game.
(By the way, the FIDE Laws of Chess specify that White's pieces are light colored and Black's pieces are dark colored. Any position which requires Black to be playing white pieces is illegal, not just silly.)
Well White is the lighter pieces, and Black has the darker ones! It isn't hard to see. (Oh, and here could be the position for if you're White.)
I'm still waiting for your proof game to show how the king and queen traded places in your position at #4742.
Oh sorry I never saw that

Oh sorry I never saw that
You're the one who made the position. How could you not have seen that?

I think this position is illegal if it's white to move.
I couldn't see any reason to think it would be illegal.

This is a common trick puzzle, because it appears in a semi-famous book, but is it possible for this position to be reached with white to move?
It is possible because of 1.Nf3 e6 2. Ng1 e5. this'll never happen, though.

I think this position [#4764] is illegal if it's white to move.
Is that position still legal if a black queen is placed at f6? Does who ends up with the move make a difference in the legality?
lol
