imagine you won enough money in the lottery. so much money that you did not have to work.

Would you play and study chess 24 /7.

If I won a lot of money I might play chess 24 / 7. maybe go travelling and play chess.

I posted it under fun because I know it is a little unrealistic to win that kind of money.

I'd probably play less and do some stuff that I cant afford right now, like eat .....

 A lottery win wouldn't result in me devoting my life to chess, but if I had a few extra dollars I could put toward chess I'd like to try at least a couple tournaments.  I've never played much OTB and never in a tournament, and the closest venues to me are well over 100 miles away.

Well, I wouldn't play chess 24/7  (I need to sleep, ya know) and I wouldn't devote a lot of time to it, but I would go to more tournaments for sure.
