Wow, I can't believe your opponent kept playing.
The only reason I can think he might play on for so long is that he might have been unaware of the draw rules regarding threefold repetition or the 50-move rule -- and was hoping you'd eventually get fed up and have no other way out of the game than to resign.
Did you ask your opponent why he played on for so long?
Wow. I honestly can't believe your opponent lost that position (no offense!). I can only assume he was low on time, but considering you guys played it out to 250 moves there must have been an increment.

Yes I've asked, If he really did not want a draw. Around the 150 moves mark or so, but did not get an answer. Funny fact, after I claimed a draw (s)he offered a rematch.

No offense taken. He wasn't that low on time, couple of minutes I think we both played badly. I believe it was 6 minutes + 1 second for every move.
As good as the pointlessness of it was, my favourite part was actually the bishop promotion. To keep in with the even more pointlessness of it all, you should've gone for a knight 
This blitzgame was fun first, but became the most pointless game I ever played.
I offered a draw two times in the opposite B ending, both were declined..
Since I was also kindoff watching tv I thought it would be funny if I made a bunch off moves before claiming a draw under the 50 move rule.
So have any off you played more pointlessly?
