The real reason I use "conditional move".

In correspondence chess, I only use conditional move to save you time.   You know I'm going to recapture or move my king out of check, I have no choice.  While you're mind is on the game, might as well give you a hand, help you save time, I'm being a nice guy.  If you don't like it, just let me know, no problem.

OK, the real reason I use conditional move is so that, at any point in time, perhaps I'm out driving, perhaps watching tv, I could be, right now, this very moment, even as I write this, putting someone in check mate.

I could be sleeping, and, without even realizing it, at that moment, someone, somewhere in the world is just that moment being beaten in a real game of chess by me.

I could even be showering shaving, or vacating my bowels, and, at that same exact moment, I could have just put someone in check mate, complete with rating increase.

A powerful "vacation", if you will.

While my wife and I may be renewing our romance, I could simultanesouly be ... someone else on the other side of the earth.

Actually, it helps me economize my time, so I don't have to re-invent my strategy, and the biggest reason of all to use conditional move is to not forget to re-capture on an exchange.
