What type of player are you?

At your local club or CCA class tournament, you may see some interesting players. I mean those players that seemed to never have learned what sportsmanship is. I've put them all in a few categories. 

#1: The Rager

Probably the most common type of bad sport.

• Gets really, really, really, mad when they lose a game
• Often yell "sh!t! or "f#ck!" after blundering a piece
• Refuse to say "Good Game" or do a post mortem
• Makes a lot of excuses for losing
• Don't mark the result
• Hit or Break something after the game

#2: The Snitch

That guy who gets the arbiter for literally everything you do, including

• Stopping notation at 5:01 seconds
• Stretching (Happened to me once!)
• Adjusting pieces
• Coughing
• Drinking too much water

And reports other boards, even when it's not his business.

#3. The Slammer

As indicated by the name 

• Slams clock excessively
• Slams pieces excessively
• Shakes your hand way. too. hard.   .__.
• Likes to sacrifice a lot of stuff
• Usually much better at blitz
• Gets annoyed when you play your moves softly

#4. The Sandbagger

Tanks his rating on purpose to win prizes (And usually still a poor player). How lousy! 

• That 800 guy who gets 7-0
• Plays a 7-move combo when you don't expect it
• Always gets first 
• Looks too confident
• Gets banned after the TD's notice
• Pretends he's bad in the analysis

#5. The Cheater

• Always seems to play a sketchy queen move
• Adjusts too much for your liking and always after he's touched the piece
• Marks the result backward *by accident*
• Goes to the bathroom every 5 minutes
• Won all his games until now
• Got 2200 in 6 months
• Something's missing when you come back to your board

#6. The PATZER

• Somehow never seem to have my queen after move 3
• Chess960 came into existence after Bobby Fischer saw me setting up the pieces
• Misses really obvious tactics
• Plays horrible openings (mainly online)

I've always been a rage xD

I'm type 6: The Swindler. I get into dead lost/drawn positions all of the time, and I somehow win.

#7. The Late

Most common among titled people

• Always late to games
• Doesn't care if he is
• Wins anyways
• Always in time trouble
• Plays really fast

#8. The Drawer.

• Will take a draw at the drop of a hat.
• Will offer/take a draw to get a longer lunch.
• Will offer a draw in a winning/losing/even position.
• Will offer a draw to go watch the playoffs on tv.

It sums up my chess career.

I hate the slammers the most

Yeah. I once drew this guy, and he tried to mark the result in his favor, but he forgot he was playing White, and marked it as a win for me  

I wanted to unscrew some kids head once....

I have a Chronos touch sensor clock, and every time he would move, he would slam the piece down on the clock, and stare at me.  I finally had to pause the clock, and tell him that its a touch sensor.  No matter how hard you hit it with a piece it wont work.  And to have some respect for other peoples property, and finally that youre 8, you're not intimidating.

Same happened to me, but I won and he tried to record it as a win for him. Had to call the arbiter and everything :/ My CFC would have dropped probably 50 points if the arbiter took the result he put down.
