White always wins?

Why is it that White always wins in Chess? Every game I've ever played, White wins. It's driving me nuts! Is it because White goes first? That always puts them a move ahead, meaning Black is always having to counter-act what White's doing.

It's also weird how I'm always the Black side.

dude trust me you can win with black and white. I used to think the same thing when i first started playing chess. You just have to look at the board a little differently since the king and queen are switched when you swith colors. It all depends on how you start.

White doesnt always win. It honestly depends a lot on who's playing and how they play. I frequently win as black both on here and On The Board. Look at the master games in the Games Explorer...even then White doesnt always win. Its all about strategy. If you're playing black it's all about defense. Keep your defenses tight and let the white player smash his pieces upon your walls. If youre playing white you want to keep the black player disorganized and from getting into a good position. Different tactics, thats all.

I too, like many other people here, thought this once.  Then I played every single game I could as black, and came to the conclusion to think black always loses is extremely false.

Guys, I apologize! I posted this in Fun With Chess... maybe that should show more prominently or I should say "just kidding" at the end... the last sentence "I'm always Black side" was supposed to be a punch line. It was a stupid joke that just came to me.

Maybe, its because you are bad.

There are advantages of being white. Being extremely aggressive for instance using Parham attack will keep (players rating under 1500 at least) black players all turtled up (and hopefully messy pawn structure in the process)

Oddly, I seem to do better with Black than with White.

It helps to play for a win with Black at high levels. What happens today is players are satisfied with a draw with Black and try to equalize from

White's normal slight advantage and then they try and win with White.

In the 7th United States Correspondence Championship Finals I won all

7 of my games with Black which I think is a record which may not be broken. [ yes, I am proud of my record]

My TTPM (Time-Transfer-Protocol-Messenger) pointed out, that the starting position is mutual Zugzwang and therefore chess is a forced win for black. 

This will have allready been proven since 2273. 

The winning of white and black depends upon your playing style. I have a higher winning % with black because i have played many games with black than white and hence my playing style has been adopted playing black. I play ok with white but much better with black.

I've won a lot more than black than white (but that's probably because I've played a lot more games as black LOL) I've only won two games as white that ended in checkmate and not being used to white caused me trouble aswell.
