Well, I've been thinking, why do we play chess?

MagNoodles88

Why not?

K4rbon

Because it't the best game in the world, chess is simply pure beauty.

Conflagration_Planet

Why dress?

LordHarnois

I play chess because there is no end to improvement. It is a way for me to feel like I'm using my time successfully. If I improve enough there are chances for me to travel all around the world. The game seemingly will never die. The list of 'why chess' goes on and on. It is as K4rbon said "pure beauty."

How will chess help you travel all over the world?

MyCowsCanFly

Because I play chess, people will know I'm smart. Since it's a sport requiring masculine traits, it makes me feel masculine and allows me to feel superior to women. It also improves my math skills. I suspect it is also making me taller.

AlCzervik

Because I always lost at checkers.

Your only objection is that it's not a sport? That's funny. Next, you'll be saying chess doesn't make you taller.

Since you still have to pay for travel costs, chess isn't going to help.

bit of a typo there.

"thinking" answers the question "why do you play"

"not being able to think" leaves the question unanswered.

netzach

Try to not think and just play.

Sunofthemorninglight

hey, that netzach humanoid knows how to think!

netzach

Shame he seldom knows how to play decent-chess:)
