Why Chess Sucks arguments

chess is boring, unrewarding, mentally demanding and time-consuming.
you know it's true!
it doesn't suck though

of course it does! why would you want to play a game that is boring, unrewarding, mentally demanding and time-consuming?

not unrewarding--> you can play in tournaments for money
plus it's the same idea as playing videogames you gain nothing except for pictures

but videogames aren't boring.
and in open tournaments, who can win money when up against a whole bunch of masters anyway?

play in team tounaments say

chess is boring, unrewarding, mentally demanding and time-consuming.
you know it's true!
then why are you playing it? you got to admit you can't get enough of it!

There is a company out west,(Yoming maybe) that markets a 3D chess set, but I mean no disrespect; if you suck at regular chess, 3D would be even harder. There is a site that has the rules for 3D. From my understanding, the game starts on the middle board. When a piece moves from its starting position, you must put it on a different board(upper or lower). After it has moved once, then you can continue like regular chess. I have a 3D board like Star Trek, but I've never actually played it. ood Luck thow!

I'm on this website because its better than being in the jungles of Vietnam. I'm just glutten for punishment. Why would you want to play a game that is boring, unrewarding, mentally demanding, time consuming, not to mention unprofitable??? Sounds like my 17th marriage. Some people are just drug addicts!

Chess players often say "chess sucks" when they actually mean "I suck".
I suck at chess but i still love it though

If chess could suck arguments, it would bring peace to this entire planet. It's got massive potential then.

You suck because you are an ignorant fool that knows nothing about the game and can't appreciate its artistic and creative value.

The OP realized that he sucks , not chess and came up with a spectacular way to end his suffering ...

Which is why Bobby FIscher, one of the greatest chess players of all time, also said chess sucks?
Lets face it, half of chess has been debauched into memorization of theory, and people use chess engines to try and make improvements on the 18th move of a line to give them a small new novel edge. Spontineity has given way to developed rules of play - the likes of which is why the game sucks.
I enjoy it, I really do, but it does suck up all your time and no matter what move you do, it will be inadequate in the face of the game.
found online
Chess suck because it is VERY hard to remember the moves of every single piece.
I find that chess sucks because I can not find a nice software program that will help me with 3D chess. Not the board in 3D but the actual game of 3D chest. I have seen it set up and played once. I found it very interesting and want to learn how to play it.
In my younger days chess sucked because it took every moment of my days; playing, studying, and traveling to tournaments. Now at 53 it sucks because my brain power isn't what it used to be and I can not play at the levels I used to. Also postal chess is all but dead for lower ranked players with the advent of master level chess programs.
Finding consistent playing partners is not easy and a reason why chess "sucks". Usually in our Chess interface you will get someone playing a few games and then they phase out.
Chess sucks because sometimes it can be time consuming and takes a lot patience to make a proper move for your chess pieces.
I’ve been trying to learn chess. Now, I’ve always considered myself a relatively smart man, but there’s just something about chess that, just, oh, I don’t know makes me feel like a total dumbass. I thought computers made me feel dumb, but chess has really got them beat. Chess makes me feel inadequate, yet every night I keep playing. I keep choosing easier and easier opponents and I keep losing and losing. A game shouldn’t be this hard. It’s a board game for crying out loud. Everyday I tell myself I’m not going to play again. I come home and sit down in my chair, trying to ignore my computer’s siren song. “Come play chess,” it sings sweetly, “you can win this time,” and like the sailors of old I heed the song, I amble over to the computer full well knowing I’m going to shipwreck on the rocks. (That was all metaphorical. I don’t really need a ship to get to my computer. I use a rowboat.) So after this next game, I’m done. I’m going to quit. I can do it. I don’t need it. I mean, what’s one more time going to hurt?
i'll post more as i find more
