By the way, and in the same spirit, 5...e6 wouldn't of been such a bad idea either.
(I'm taking the advice here of someone who wrote that "wouldn't of" makes things easier when compared to the heavier and unnecessarily academic "wouldn't have". We'll see how the self-important "learned" crowd responds to that).
Lol. When I played 3/0 I got a couple modern defense opponents in a similar manner. 1.d4 g6 2.Bh6?? Bg7???? Hee hee!
<Erik42085> Right - but in your case you're really taking a risk - as maybe your opponent only premoves on move one - which is actually ok, especially if your first move is 1...g6.

Well, I don't consider chess games under 3 mins, and maybe even 5. But chess.com also considers 10 min games as blitz.
Just don't use of, for God's sake!?!?! 
Nice one though. I sometimes get 1.b3 g6 2.Bb2 Nf6 3.Bxf6 Bg7 on the board in hyperbullet. :)

But I usually play three, and can get some chess into the game.

Possibly your opponent was disheartened after a bad loss of time. A 2000 should know better than to premove the first 10 moves in blitz.
