sometimes i talk with my 13 pound housecat, before making a difficult move...her purring has a relaxing effect on me.  I hope its not considered cheating to talk to a pet before making a chess move in an online game.

It is not a cheating, unless your cat gave your Chess Advices about your games on progress, or push the Computer buttons on your Chess.com games, and submitted the Chess Moves, instead of you, while you drink a milk, or a wine...
