I reached 1800 after reading only one book - 1000 Checkmate Combinations by Victor Henkin. I knew no openings at the time, not even their names. It seems to me you are suffering a lot vs 1e4. and the Scandinavian does not seem to be working out for you. You are making a lot of tactical mistakes in the opening as black vs 1.e4. Focus on your game vs 1.e4 as black.
1800 - Tips for breaking through?

Hey everyone! I've been hovering around the 1750 rating mark on Chess.com for a while now, and I’m starting to feel like I’ve hit a plateau. I’ve been focusing on tactics, studying openings, and reviewing my games, but I’m still finding it tough to push past this level consistently.
Around this level I start facing low 1800's, and they seem a different calibre of player entirely. Is this the level where players aren't considered amateur anymore?
If so could anyone offer some insight into what is going wrong, or is this just a very tough milestone to hit.
Thanks all
