Here are myy games from this year's Chicago Open. I played in the u1500 section. I started off with a miserable 1/5 with two draws and three losses after the first two days, but I bounced back with wins in rounds six and seven for a thoroughly mediocre 3/7. So without further ado...
Round One:
In Round 2 I found myself playing a guy who was once a highly-rated player from Turkmenistan who stopped playing when he came to the US - until now. He ended up in second or third place in our section (you can look it up).
