Robert James “Bobby” Fischer was born on 1943; he was a record-setting chess player who became the youngest U.S. Chess Champion and the first American-born player to win the World Chess Championship. He held the Title for only 3 years (from September 1, 1972 to April 3, 1975), but even today he is considered one of the best chess players.
