A Move So Brilliant Only A "Program" Could Have Played It

This intense game was played by me as white and Trippelbauer as black. There were a lot of crazy moves going on. The craziest of all, though, was move 22. I made a move so advanced, so unthinkinkable that surely only a program could have played it, at least according to Trippelbauer, my opponent.

Trippelbauer was adamant with his belief that I was playing with some advanced program after the 22nd move. While I was thoroughly offended, I was also slightly honored. I was honored that Trippelbauer felt so convinced that my move was too good to be human. I am posting this game, though, because I am hoping that more advanced players will shed light on Trippelbauer's concern. Was move 22 really so incredible? (I made an error on our ratings at the time; THE RATINGS ARE REVERSED. Black was 1550, i had the other rating.)

Edit: As someone pointed out, 15...Bxh2+ is actually a blunder. The missed tactic was 15...Nxd5! (As the Queen cannot recapture due to 16...Bxh2+!)

OMG!   Move 22 is incredible!  I can't stop replaying it!!

beardogjones

actually move 21 Bc1 was the  somewhat surprising move...

Not quite,Nice tactic but terribly easy to spot.Humans can definitely play this.

The mods tend to go a little ballistic over "naming and shaming" in the forums.  Might want to change the name of your opponent next time you post.  That said, he's clearly just a sore loser.

Thanks for your opinion. You and I are in agreement then. I tried explaining to Trippelbauer that move 22 was rather simplistic for any player 1300 or above. His refusal to accept that, however, lead me to create this post.

Thanks for the warning. I was not aware of that, I will definitey take note!

lol, even I saw that N fork ...

Him crying cheater is futile because it won't lead to anything.Just forget it and keep playing because you clearly haven't cheated. He can't do anything about it.

I've been called a cheater so many times, still around. These are just people that can't take losing with good grace. Pretty sure I would have spotted Nh6 in less than 5 seconds! Besides, one move is evidence of nothing.

macer75

why not 22. ... gxh6?

Edit: nvm, should have looked for a few seconds longer before posting.

Funny, 5 seconds is precisely how long it took lol.

In the direction this thread is going, it's gonna be locked very soon.

CyroFault

Probably.

So we could turn the subject to something else...

15... Bxh2+ (which you mark !) is actually (?), it completely misses the mark. The correct tactic is 15... Nxd5 and white cannot recapture with his queen. 15... Bxh2+ throws away two pieces for one piece and a pawn.
