In your variation I think white would be ok to follow up with 16 Kd2 because white's knight is protected by a rook and a bishop.  If 16...Qa2 then 17 Ke1.  White might soon play b3 to offer a trade of queens.  :)

It seems that Black can draw even earlier.  On move 43....Nf1 and if 44.Kxc4 then Ne3 forking the king and bishop.
