The still new-to-me Game Analysis toy is amusing. Sometimes it points out true errors. Frequently it will fault a move based on its own simple ideas of position value, when my move it dislikes leads to 3-move-checkmate.
-- When it was new I objected to the white-male stereotyped "Coach." Chess-dot-com added alternative face symbols, and female-toned voicing. The "voice" comments seem lifeless and sterile. The female voicings seem particularly artificial.
-- The analysis program has only a limited repertoire of comment scripts. Some are specific to the position; many are generic, like "That's what I would have played, too." Some pretend to convey enthusiasm: "Way to go..." but where the voice should convey approval or pleasure it often sounds as though the speaker is utterly uninvolved, just happened to open a Chinese fortune cookie and is reading the news.
-- "Analysis" is never going to be very good; that's what makes chess wonderful. But it could still use cosmetic improvements. You folks can certainly afford it.
-- That said, as a paying member since 2014 I compliment you on the quality of the site and the atmosphere it creates. The program creativity to manage the volume of use is awesome. Thank you for this rich part of our lives! / Whatsnu -19Sep2025.

It’ really hard to make the engine know what is truly a blunder and what is not
