Why can't it be called Apu's gambit? Apu is a name as good as any other and there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be named so.

Dude, there is no reason to post inflammatory things on a chess site.

It should not be tolerated, and some of the perspectives in your post are so far removed from reality, I hope you are able to find proper counsel to help get you back on the right path.

Everyone is not a racist.  Many people understand and respect differences and do not use hurtful epithets because they are neither ignorant nor do they harbor ill feelings towards others.

If you are living in a sub-culture that does not understand this, you should change you situation.  Especially if you have a kid.

Seriously.

I can see where you are going about me saying Apu's Gambit? The name was ripped off an American sitcom and I said a cliche phrase to him after I beat him just in case you didn't know. But you are entitled to your opinion and I will be more wary about what I share and to make sure it is not offensive.

tHyper.  That's what I play against the Fried Liver.  I think everyone who has played a lot of chess has made the mistake of taking the pawn.....ONCE and only once.  It's like the three move mate when you first start playing chess.   You try it against everyone and you get some wins.  One thing that does surprise me is the rating of the individual who played this move??  I suppose he was playing blitz and just made a lazy error.

Hehe naw, it was an online chess game and finished in less than 2 days. The 2nd day was after move 3 and where we duked it out. Yes a careless error on his part and like I said I was happy that he took Nc2 instead of moving out his queen to attack Qf7

Well, there are traps you must fall for to know they're there, just like the queen's gambit accepted trap that goes like this:

And about the rating... we should check out for how long he's been playing... maybe he started playing 2 months ago, won some games against 1300 rated players and now he's playing against people with his new rating.

I don't understand what you mean by Qf7?

LSTGVoodoo

I like that variation Thyper.

Also Immortal, I meant I am glad he didn't attack my queen which was played on Qf7. That would have thrown my plan/trap game a curveball.

Wow, nice game!

I remember another short game like that, which has a trap...what was it called...was it scholar's mate? You sacrifice your queen and checkmate with two knights?

That would be the Legal's mate:

The scholar's mate is far more easy:

Wow, the legal mate just cracked me up.
