This is one instance where there shouldn't be much debate.  It's much easier to fling a waffle than it is to fling a pancake.

 No, pancakes are more aerodynamic,

Too limp, at least if cooked properly.  If flung like a frisbee, a properly cooked pancake would break up from its own angular momentum at rpms sufficient to maintain attitude.  Maybe if you cooked them hard and crispy so they're no longer edible . . .

I see what you're getting at, but keep in mind waffles have those hole-thingys that prevent them from flying well.

Perhaps we should have this assessed by the engineering dept.

That's right, the dimples on golf balls prevent them from behaving like knuckle-balls in flight.

Maybe pancakes would hold together if they could be brought up to rotational speed at a slower rate than would be possible with a wrist flick.  Some sort of pancake chucker, maybe a modified pumpkin chucker that had a smaller caliber barrel with rifling on one side to provide assymmetric friction as the pancake accelerates down the barrel, thus imparting a spin which would increase in rate as long as the pancake continued down the barrel . . .

This happened in one of my games once.

Maybe you guys should concentrate more in avoiding being incosiderate in chess and stop mocking. That will give you a nice Christmas present: better chess play.
