Argh! Missed checkmate!

This isn't the first time I've missed a checkmate, hope it will be the last.  When I was evaluating what I thought was a recent great game of mine, the missed checkmate put a damper on it somewhat.    True, I was dominating the game and checkmate was pretty much inevitable anyway, but I don't want it to happen in a game where the outcome may not be as certain.

The mate was much prettier that way anyway.

I don't think there's anything wrong with how you won the game.  It's those games where you miss the checkmate, and then are unable to get it in another position that are the true heartbreakers.

but a mate is never pretty if your up 14 pieces ;)
