One thing I thought particually about the game, is where did Danny go wrong, I felt my attack built up very quickly. I think it has something to do with the opening.

Hi.

Well done on the win!

The game stays in book on Batch Analyzer until White's 15th move which is quite rare in blitz I should think when one of the players is an intermediate.

Here's what the BA automated engine analysis with Houdini 1.5 on a quad-core makes of the game:

[Event "Live Chess"]
[Site "Chess.com"]
[Date "2010.12.17"]
[Round "?"]
[White "Chessy4000"]
[Black "ACEChess (Danny Rensch)"]

[WhiteElo "1423"]

{ Game Summary }

{ White: Chessy4000 }
{ Top 1 Match: 6/10 ( 60.0% )
{ Top 2 Match: 8/10 ( 80.0% )
{ Top 3 Match: 9/10 ( 90.0% )
{ Top 4 Match: 10/10 ( 100.0% )

{ Black: ACEChess (Danny Rensch) }
{ Top 1 Match: 3/9 ( 33.3% )
{ Top 2 Match: 5/9 ( 55.6% )
{ Top 3 Match: 5/9 ( 55.6% )
{ Top 4 Match: 5/9 ( 55.6% )

You should basically ignore the cumulative match rate figures above because since the sample of non-database moves is tiny, they're meaningless, but I simply include them as a curio.

The analysis above shows move played, then the top 4 engine choice moves in the order move/engine score/depth at which score attained.

So, for example after 20...d4?? (one of the 3 key mistakes by Black) we have the analysis output:

21. Bg5 { Bh6 416 18 : cxd4 233 18 : Bg5 106 17 : fxg7 92 17 }

So you played 21.Bg5.  Houdini preferred 21.Bh6, scoring it +4.16 at depth of 18 ply.  The played move was the engine's 3rd choice, scoring +1.06 at a depth of 17 ply.

Hope that helps.

@ paulgottlieb

I have the DVD repetoire by Dzindzichashvili, which has similar lines to the book. I can understand Qf3, pressure on the diagonal and forcing f5-f6 more easily.

@ SteveCollyer

Thanks for the analysis, I got quite excited when I saw the match-up rates, then I realised that three of my moves where forced and easy to find, and it is not so special. :(

Which DVD?  From Roman's Lab series?

I don't get what tool you mean.

And it is from Roman's Forum, mastering the open forum series, crushing lines for white.
