I know for many of you this game may seem simple.. and I probably made quite a few simple mistakes, but I would appreciate your advice.  I was wondering if there were any moves in the opening and the mid-game that I missed that would have given me an advantage.

Yes, I know I messed up the endgame pretty badly.  I was quite frustrated with myself as well!

You were unlucky not to win that one!

I had it analyzed by the computer and they said I made 2 mistakes, 5 blunders, and 7 inaccuracies.

And yes I think my biggest blunders were on moves 28, 35, 45, and 49... although once I got into the 40's, I don't think I could have avoided a loss.

I agree that c3 wasn't the best move.

In chess every move counts and all that c3 did was stop the knight developing there

Here were my thoughts on c3.

In the Ruy Lopez opening, black kicks whites bishop with the pawn sequence a6, b5.  c3 provided a good home for my bishop, (c2) and it also made d4 an even stronger move.

Just wanted to explain my thought process.

I suppose you've learned the hard way that a protected passed pawn can swing a K+P ending.

i don`t think that 14.re3 was the best and ng5 wasn`t a good move and why not 21.f4 and 28 g3 was better 34.h5 wasnt good

what about 22. Qh5 threatening the pin Rg3? I don't think black has any good defense against it
