"Best move" leading to instant mate?
Well, the opponent moved the pawn h7-h5 protecting g6 which lead to an instant mate Rg6#. The AI considered this as the best move? "Right on target", it says. What the heck? Every other move would've been better to prolong the game for a few moves.
Well, whatever else black plays, white can play the simple 34. h3#
It is mate in 1 in all cases. 33. ... h5 may have been the move selected by the engine in a lost situation.
Thanks, mate! I've been so fixed on my rooks that I've overlooked this simple pawn move.
And it didn't even occur to you to check the engine lines before you make an indignant forum topic about it?

Ashes on my head, no it didn't. But even though the AI's games review comment "Right on target" seems a little off to me. I don't see why my forum post would be "indignant", even considering my oversight.

I agree with you, this is certainly a bug. A move that allows mate-in-1 should not be praised as "best" and "right on target", that's just insane. You should report it.
Hmm, when I report this I'd like to make a suggestion how the engine should comment on such kind of moves.
"Holding to a straw"?
"Kept on fighting"?
I don't know, do you have better suggestions?
But certainly h7-h5 gave up the defence of a very important field, even though it's been mate in one anyways.
Edit: Bug report done.
Here's the answer from Customer Support:
While it may seem like a bug, it's intended behavior for the coach to comment that in that situation. Any move black makes in that situation is the best move since it's a mate-in-one.
Instead of a bug, we'll take it as a feature request. Maybe in future versions, we'll see a more advanced dialogue.
Fair enough, I see their reasoning, but it's still a little clumsy.
