I'll just mention one thing. 7.h4!? was extremely provocative from your opponent and you simply castled. I would've delayed castling and tried to exploit his play.

7...Ne4 looks to be the best first move to me, suddenly h5-h6 isn't much of a threat if you haven't castled yet, especially as you may be able to respond with a well-timed ...g5!

With a knight entrenched on e4 you can choose a plan according to what White does. If White castles Kingside then h4 looks very strange. You can probably simply play 0-0 yourself and be satisfied with the opening. If White castles 0-0-0 then you have to look to open the Queenside with a combination of dxc4 and c5 perhaps, (or dxc4 and b5 etc.)

Even after 0-0 8.h5 your position is OK. However ...h6 was the first serious mistake, giving away the g6 square. Again 8...Ne4 was neccessary, planning to meat h6 with g5 with unclear play.

Of course all this leads to comlex play, but at least you're fighting and have counterchances in all these lines. Myself I prefer the Leningrad Dutch, but that's personal taste!

some excellent advice thanks!Smile next time I'll remember not to castle so hastily and try to exploit such an opportunity.
