Well, I can't speak about the "good move" part of your question, because I'm not that great and I always agree with the engine, but when it says MAT+09, and then doesn't, that would mean that you didnt make a move that was part of the continuation that checkmated your opponent in 9 moves, and thus there wasnt a mate in 9 anymore.
Chess.com engine analysis
thanks for your post.. But I follow the engine analysis instead of the main line! So lets say that the engine suggests another line and I follow it and it says Mat+09, I follow it to the end and there is no mate... has that happened to you?
I am not a good player too but sometimes when I look at the engine analysis, I could not figure out whether by following the moves I actually have a good advantage or not...
Hi everyone,
Is it me or do people find that the game analysis engine of the chess.com sometimes I do not understand or make sense to me? For example, some times in the post game analysis, I see it announce MAT+09 but then it proceeds to continue as if no mate has occured. Other times, I cannot understand why it says that is not a good move, despite positional or piece advantage...
Do others feel the same or am I missing something here?
thank you!
