No.  You lost

I used the word HAD... which means past tense, before the outcome was decided. Indicating I was winning at some point but lost the advantage. Go back to English class obviously you failed.
(Didnt want to be a dick but you were so I feel justified)

4.d4 or 5.d4 was more in keeping with the spirit of the opening.

17.Bxd5 woukd have won a critical central pawn. But your got it later.

Move 23 is very interesting. I would suggest 23.c4 to keep that bishop active. It is not enough to just have active pieces. You have to fight, to keep them active. 23....bxc4 24.dxc4 Nxc4?? 25.Bxf7+! Wins the queen.

Also 37.Qd8+ Kg7 Rg8+ was coming to perpetual.

You did a good job setting up that killer attack. You just didn't follow through when you needed. Chess is all about self-confidence.

23. c4 is a much more positionally gratifying move. I will engrave the part about fighting to keep pieces alive in my thought process.

Hi, I am going through your game to learn how good players move.

I am looking at some of the moves, and feels like there were better options; specially the missed chance of checkmate at 31 move.

But I am sure I have missed some of the good reasons why some moves were made. So I tried to share those moves that felt good, so that you can provide me feedback so that I also can improve my thinking pattern.

Ignore Ultimate Fighter.

He is spamming every single thread in tall caps, because his mommy didn't hug him this morning.

@varelse1 - Just a curious question on 23.c4; it seems the queens will be exchanged, and black is winning? Appologies if I had missed something here?

You are in fact correct.

I spotted that a while after I posted it. But I left it, because the point I was making was more important than the specific game. Chess is a battle of keeping your pieces active, and your opponent's inactive.

There are many times in Chess you will be forced to move a piece to the sidelines. But that doesn't mean you should do it happily. 'Automatic moves" are what your opponent expects. Don't be so predictable.

Try to find a way to surprise him.

Avatar of lkamal

@varelse1 - Thanks, yes I understood. When the opponent is surprised, he happened to think and find better options.

Very high quality.

I truly see the value of discussing:

Cmon I had this won!!!!!!!

The truth is, if other people are enjoying it, then it doesnt matter what you think at all! Take the p*nis out of your bum and stop worrying be happy

Honestly... does anyone really care?

Why do members have the need to post their matches on the forums for others to "analyze"?

Who cares because you will not likely face a situation that is exactly the same and you will probably make other mistakes!!!

Dead wrong. Why do you even care about this post then? Reviewing games is one of the best ways to learn. Ive coached scholastic chess for 10 years and students learn by going over their games with their teammates, friends, coach.... and even people they dont even know but have insite others have missed. :)

These forum topics are worthless

Seriously? They are worthless.... to you. LOL :D Do you notice you are the only one saying this? Again... reviewing games is valuable. :) It also shows that a player is humble enough to accept tips and critique in order to improve. In other words... they are "coachable".
