Creating database of my games

Hi all,
I've been trying to find a way to quickly sort my online games. I'm interested in creating a database of my own games (specifically I want to sort all of my games by opening that I can just open at any time). I've found the chess.com archive and search system to be entirely lacking because the way it categories openings is often completely wrong, and I can't look at my archive or library on my phone.
I've also tried using chessbase 17 but after trying and failing to combine database files downloaded from chess.com for 30 minutes I gave up. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I have to pay for chessbase for it to be usable?
