hold on, where did the game go? ....
Discovered Check Blocks The Mate and Wins the Queen
It's clear:
The check, in the process of discovering itself, is simultaneously instigating the blockage of the piece which would, unblocked by said check which is being discovered, induce a state of checkmate to this particular game, with a negative result for the OP, and the which of, in the same temporal plane, is inflicting on the opposing player's queen an attack, which, by virtue of the aforementioned check, that which is being discovered by the blocking of the potentially checkmating piece, is patently indefensible.
QED.
tonydal:
1 - what is an NM? (something Master, but what is the N?)
2 - I missed my Knight on f3, so you are correct, it wouldn't have been mate. Sorry - I am not an (anything at all) Master, just a beginning student of the game. I wasn't aiming for sensationalism....
thanks tonydal. If you don't mind, please take a look at my comments on 21...Ke8. What do you think?
Nice game, well played and well annotated. I just wonder if your opponent is at your level (1100+) or below 1000. Anyway nice one dude. Keep it up.
Also features 2 centralized Bishops immune to attack by pawns. I have made comments - please let me know what you think!
