Double Queen Gambit!?

I've been experimenting with the Tarrasch Defense to the queen's gambit, what do you guys think about it? You have to be willing to lose material to gain some position, but it does lead to some fast games.

Interesting Joeday.  I myself do not prefer the gambits because if you are playing a strong opponent, they will take you to the end game, and the pawns make all the difference.

Again, in reference to pawn structure, on the board at 8.Ne3, look how he can gain more control your pawn advancement with putting pawns on g4 and c4.  If his pawns are on those posts, you could not advance your pawns without him being able to attack you first. (Purely looking at the pawn stucture)

But I agree with 5.....Nc6 being an awesome postion. Go a head pawn, take the knight!

Why at 18. for white does he not take the knight on c4 with the queen?

Could also take with the pawn but then you risk check and a fork with the other knight. 18. b3xc4 nc3+ 19.Ke1 Nxa2 discovered check by queen, would lose queen except 20.Qd2 rXd2 21.NXd2

So queen takes knight.

That was a great game!

But I think that 12... Na5 was a mistake. Possibly there were better moves for White that would have at least granted equality. Let me know what you think.

Check the move list and if I missed something, I apologize.

Xevs, those responses are definitely possible and more likely when playing against stroger opponents, better may have been 12. Ne4 or 12. Bxnc4 (after this, there is not much that white can do).

Thanks for the input!

5.Qa4+ is the correct move.
