Drawing Move?

Hey all. This is my first time posting in the forums, so please excuse me for any sloppiness in my work. I have just recently played an entertaining game that, I believe, had led to a lost endgame. I resigned because I saw no way out and I had 0:44 to my opponents ~6:00. However, I went back and began to analyze the game. From what I have done, it appears that 1. ... ___ 2. g3!! would lead to a draw, with my king (I played as white) eventually taking out the black knight, leading to a R+K vs. P+K endgame, where my pawn is too advanced to stop and the black king is too far away to help. Well, here you go!

Now, assuming it isn't 1. ... Rxa5 (to which my response would be 2. Rxc2 ___ 3. g3!! fxg3 4. Kh3), does g3 result in a draw? Thanks for any help you guys can give!

Looking at the board, is white moving down or up?

Northcity4: White is moving up the board

And in your game, I am thinking 40. Kxa5?? I would say 40. Kxc5 is better because then your pawn on the 'b' file stops your opponents 2 'a' file pawns. Then, you would have to move h3 in order to prevent 41. ... g4 42. fxg4 hxg4. Your opponents king cannot attack your weak pawn on f3, because doing so allows your pawn 'e' pawn to win the race to the end. Once that is finished, you slowly advance your 'b' pawn to the end and you will win the game. I will try and post an example of what I mean...

Oh wait! Look at 36. Kd2??? you wasted a move moving over to take the 'c' pawn! I'm not sure how MUCH of a difference that makes, but I am going to assume it's pretty big... Is there a reason why you moved 36. Kd2 instead of 36. Kd3 ?
