Looking at the board, is white moving down or up?

And in your game, I am thinking 40. Kxa5?? I would say 40. Kxc5 is better because then your pawn on the 'b' file stops your opponents 2 'a' file pawns. Then, you would have to move h3 in order to prevent 41. ... g4 42. fxg4 hxg4. Your opponents king cannot attack your weak pawn on f3, because doing so allows your pawn 'e' pawn to win the race to the end. Once that is finished, you slowly advance your 'b' pawn to the end and you will win the game. I will try and post an example of what I mean...
Oh wait! Look at 36. Kd2??? you wasted a move moving over to take the 'c' pawn! I'm not sure how MUCH of a difference that makes, but I am going to assume it's pretty big... Is there a reason why you moved 36. Kd2 instead of 36. Kd3 ?
