The Dutch is an aggressive answer to 1.d4 by black. It is not objectively "best" as white can get a nice advantage with accurate play, however even at the highest levels the Dutch is an adequate weapon. White's chances lie in an early (but sound) attack and to keep black's queenside tied down. If white lets black achieve his ideal setup, black can get a huge game. Observe how quickly white falls apart after one or two mistakes.

What I like about this opening is it's seemingly quiet buildup. Then all of a sudden the floodgates can open. I won my first game at the SC champs with this opening
