A friend recently showed me this diagram. He claimed to have gotten himself out of trouble and won the game, but I'm having trouble finding a way out. Any ideas?
That doesn't necessarily mean that white will win against good play. Black probably blundered and white was able to turn that into a winning game.
With Black up by 7 points, I highly doubt it. The queen is too strong, and there is not imminent threat, checkmate, or fork. White seems lost.
Rybka evaluates this as a loss, resigning in 5 moves.
