You know, sometimes a losses feel better than a wins.

In this game i quite well, i think, managed to hold my lines till the endgame where i went horribly wrong.

Why did you play 15.f3? Maybe better to keep the 3rd rank free to play Rd1/Rd3/Rg3 to attack the king (as the pawn structure is fixed).

As you're playing for the kingside attack better to not let the queenside open up, so maybe 18.b3.

Your 39.Nxh5 a nice (clever) move.

You're right about 79.a4?? Three passers much more difficult to handle than 2!

Pretty one game =)

Computer got afraid in some of your agrassive moves but at the end I guess you were tired cause some of your moves werea bit wrong. Anyway, a nice game mate :D

Both comments have been amazing - thank you!

TicklyTim - i played f3 incase of black knight to try to come to e4.

And about b3 - i considered it, but ended up to get away of his pawn which could be dangerous in endgame.

And yes, i was tired of that endless-looking game in the end and i didn't really think about the moves, but i had only one minute left in the clock anyways.

The knight can't get to e4, it would take around 20 moves. In that case f3 is quite some prophilaxis!

Seriously, as the knight can't get to e4, better to get on with your attack before Black gets the counterplay on the queenside going. The N on c6 is in the way, as black normally wants ..c5 in.

Also, allowing the pawn to a5 isn't such a weekness. Again, there maybe few circumstances 20 moves down the line, but there is a game before then. Plus Black may end up having to tie a rook down to its defence if you play (say) Rad1/Bc1.

Another idea before moving Re1 is to drop the bishop back and play f4 followed by Rf3/g3.

Maybe black should be playing ..f6 to break up your pawn chain as the queenside was a bit slow.

But yes, nice game.

sometimes ppl wish they have gone for the 3rd repitition..

I have to agree that 15.f3 really stood out as an oddity.

What about 15.Qg3 and a real gung-ho attack on the Black King?

With 16.h4 and so on? I don't think Black has enough on the queenside to avoid defending that.

KelsierIsAlive

I could've done that, yes.. i don't know what was in my mind there.

Doesn't  64. Qd8+ force a draw?

EDIT:  I don't think it does, but it does seem like an interesting move to me.

Elubas

For a while you had the rook on c2, knight on d3. You want those positions reversed! Then the win would probably easy, as you are safely attacking black's pawns.

KelsierIsAlive

Yeah, seems like i missed quite alot =)
