Hello everyone,
I would like some guidance on what Debian based LINUX chess engine and package I can use to do the following.
NOTE1: I have several already installed, and found ChessX to be very good, allowing me to setup board moves and import/export FEN strings and choose what move number and which color has the next move...however, read below.
NOTE: UNDER HEAVY duress, I have a windows box I can boot up if I need to!
1) I want to setup a game by moving the pieces to where they should be currently in the game or import the FEN.
2) Note what move number it is and what player is next move.
3) I would like to THEN choose a bot or chess engine as the opponent to play out the game against.
EXAMPLE:
I have played an engine on my LInux system, and saved the game half way through and would like to save several copies of the game and play it out different ways to see the outcome.
4) So in summery, I would like to setup a game, choose a side and play out the remaining moves against different bots.
5) ALSO, I'm a bit slow, and would like to have a large time limit, like an hour or 1.5 hour game time.
5) If i can do this on chess.com please instruct me how to do this.
Thank you for any help.
