Help me analyze 959 VS 2205

Sort:

Played this game on live chess a few nights back. I realize my true rating is probably not 959 because I held out pretty damned well against somebody of my opponent's rating. This is probably one of the better games I've played.

What could I've done better? Please analyze the game.

Your opponent probably didn't take you seriously

DonaldoTrump

You know even tho you win you got humiliated

Something you know quite a bit about apparently. happy.png

Nevermind...I just saw that it was bullet.

Analyze a bullet game...... HA!

nimzomalaysian

It was a bullet game, but what do yo guys think about my play? My opponent probably was mocking my rating, but in the end he got humiliated.

I feel like you got humiliated because short of dropping all those pieces, the game was still fairly even. After he wasted 8 moves moving every single pawn, creating a lot of weaknesses, nothing happened.

What is there to analyze about this game? Your opponent played like he was trying to lose.

I actually never looked at the game (because of the reasons stated in this post) and I think it's quite clear that my post would have read differently had I seen...

1. If you want analysis, include your own analysis first.  That way we have an idea of your game plan, what you were thinking etc.

2. Learm some humility.  Chess is a great game, where you can meet a lot of great people.  Youre makng that part harder.

3. Its bullet.  Temper your expectations.  I have beaten titled players in bullet.  Why?  because they didnt take it serious.

4. Its online chess.  Unless youre an established titled player, your online rating means squat.

Just my .02 cents...

I will have to try out black's opening more often.

All this is great advice, Diakonia.  It's too bad that OP is not going to follow any of it.

You're going to make your opponent really mad if you win with that opening :)

Follow Diakonia's advice? I'd rather jump off of a building lol.

why does an online rating mean squat

Only the wise Diakonia knows why.
