Help: why was this a draw?

Hi all, I’ve been playing some 1 min games for fun (please don’t judge how poor it is 🫣) but I can’t work out why it’s a draw. We both had ample material, it wasn’t stalemate and I can’t see how there’s any repetition. Am I missing something? Be grateful for any feedback.

The position was repeated at moves 25, 27, 29.

Ah, so it’s not the moves that need to be repeated but the position and it doesn’t have to be sequential. Is that right? My confusion was it was very different pieces moving and no back and forth but I can see while different pieces moved we got back to the same place 3 times.

Correct. Explicitly, to be considered the same position, the following must all be true:

1. All pieces are on the same squares - a "snapshot" of the board looks the same

2. It is the same side to move - i.e., if it is black to move in one position and white to move in another, they are NOT the same position

3. The same options are available - e.g., if a player can castle king-side in one position and not in another (because they moved the king-side rook and back, for example), then it is NOT the same position. The same can be said if the special pawn move En Passant is available in one position - as it is only available immediately, it is by definition not possible to be available later and so the two would NOT be the same position.
The point is not that the moves are repeating, but that no progress is being made.
One time, I was in a position where I was in check and I had two options - move my king in one direction or a second direction. I chose one direction and a few moves later, ended back up in the original position - no progress towards victory was made by either side. At this point, I realized if I went back in the first direction, the game would end in a draw when we got back to that position again. So, instead, I moved my king in the other direction, eventually escaped the checks, and went on to win the game.
